HNTB - CEO Rob Slimp Headshots & Executive Portraits
HNTB builds airports, roads, bridges, and basically those structures and ammenities that get you from point a to point b. The job centered around the CEO, who was also just appointed as chairman of the board, Rob Slimp. So they wanted headshots of Rob done in a specific way but then also some editorial or executive portrait style shots. Rob was very cooperative and it was a productive day.

They build roads, bridges, toll systems and many other features that keep America easy to navigate and explore. I was hired to shoot some professional headshots for them as well as some editorial work of their CEO which will be posted in a separate blog post.

[Essential Ingredients][1]is a huge player in a market where people buy barrels of chamomile or maybe tea tree oil. EI is expanding nationwide and so I'm honored to shoot thier reps as they come to the home office here in Atlanta. The full body shots with signs are for trade shows where they will be displayed as lifesized cut outs. The SGP logo is for grins.

Freshen Up Your Headshots
Amy is my most important client, she's my wife! She is marketing & communications director at [Mission To The World][1]. It was time to update her headshots so seizing the oppurtunity of a captive subject I tried a few new things.

Finance Headshots
Northern Trust is an international wealth & asset management firm. I've been contracted to do their employee headshots now for over a year.
The world of money! I only manage to visit and when I do I'm always taking headshots. Northern Trust is a wealth management firm. So cross lighting, with minimum shadows, yet obvious direction, was my lighting of choice. They're all young and good looking so it was an easy day!
Meg Acting Headshots

Wonderful time with Meg in the studio doing acting headshots. Meg has such a connection with the camera and had so much control. She also can do that eyebrow thing which is always a huge plus in conveying expression. Huge dog lover too! Sasha and Meg got along splendidly.
Outdoor Headshots - One World
Outdoor headshots are a great way to go for your corporate look. It's a way to get a consistent background with some texture and yet have a variance to it so each background is not exactly the same.
One-World Inc was founded in 2001 as a specialty provider of pharmaceuticals to address the unmet needs of international medical facilities, organizations and professionals.
Kristin Andree, thier marketing director, contacted me to do some headshots or their website.
Outdoor headshots are a great way to go for your corporate look. It's a way to get a consistent background with some texture and yet have a variance to it so each background is not exactly the same.
The other big advantage is in the lighting. The outdoor shot is using sunlight for most of the lighting. I am using a strobe light but just enough to fill in the eye sockets to keep from getting those "racoon eyes".
As with any setup there are some challenges. If you are in a high rise downtown with no balcony and your building security is uncooperative it may prove difficult. Even then we might find a nearby park to use. October is a great month for doing these outdoor headshots. It's nice and cool and generally the wind is calm in the mornings.

Adrienne came to me to get some specific shots made for a resume she's working on for her work as an aesthetician. She was especially interested in high key shots with a pure white background.

Legare, Attwood, and Wolfe were looking to update thier headshots to something more contemporary that wasn't a plain gray background. They are located in the city of Decatur. Easy walking distance to the old Decatur City Courthouse. On set with me that day were make-up and hair artists extraordinaires Faith Brooks and David Hamblen who also did onset grooming. It's always going to be a great day with David and Faith on set!
